'Please Please Me' LP number 1, 2nd week (UK Record Retailer chart).
Performance at the Granada, Slough. Start of third British tour, with Roy Orbison and Gerry and the Pacemakers.
The Beatles are presented with a silver disc for 'From Me To You', at the Adelphi theatre.

10.00-12.00am. BBC's 'From Us To You' (3rd edition) broadcast (recorded 1 May 1964).
BBC-radio broadcasts 'Monday Bank Holiday'.
1966
'Rubber Soul', 24th week in the Top 10 (UK New Musical Express chart).
Studio 2. 2.30pm-2.30am. Recording: 'Got To Get You Into My Life' (overdub onto take 8, tape reduction take 8 into takes 9-11, overdub onto take 9). Mono mixing: 'Got To Get You Into My Life' (remixes 1, 2, from take 9). Producer: George Martin; Engineer: Geoff Emerick; 2nd Engineer: Phil McDonald.
First Beatles' use of brass instruments.

Signing of contract for appearance on 'Our World'.
Olympic Sound Studios, London. Rolling Stones session, recording 'We Love You'. John and Paul attend and add backing vocals. -- Serpentine Road, Hyde Park. Photographic session with Marvin Lichtner (for 'Time' magazine) and Mal Evans (for 'The Beatles Book').
