1946 – Rolling Stone publisher Jann Wenner is born in New York.
1945 – Dave Cousins, leader of the British folk-prog group the Strawbs, is born.
1944 – British novelty act Mike McGear (“Lily the Pink”) – who was really Paul McCartney’s brother – is born.
1943 – Leona Williams, who became Merle Haggard’s duet partner and was married to the country legend for a while, is born in Vienna, Mo.
1938 – Paul Revere of the Raiders is born in Boise, Idaho. Paul Revere and the Raiders is an American rock band that saw enormous mainstream success.
