1969 Jim Morrison turns himself over to the FBI in Los Angeles. Charged with inter-state flight to avoid prosection on six charges of lewd behavior and public exposure at a concert in Miami on 2 March 1969, he is later released on $2000 bail.

1970 Brinsley Schwartz launched by a $120,000 hype that involves flying a planeful of London journalists to the New York Fillmore East for one performance, then back again. The management company, Flamepushers, later folded with huge debts.
