Maureen Cox is born in Liverpool.

1956
'Hound Dog' and 'Don't Be Cruel', with Elvis Presley, 1st week in the ranking (Billboard).

1963
Concert at the Queens Theatre, Blackpool.

1964
Lightning visit of Brian to the US to arrange a major autumn tour package for Gerry and the Pacemakers, Billy J. Kramer with the Dakotas and Tommy Quickly.

1965
Defending Brian, John affirms: 'If Brian says there should be no publicity for 'Help!' then that's the way it should be. The record got to number one didn't it?'

'Help!' single number 1, 2nd week (UK New Musical Express chart).

1966
The government of South Africa establishes a prohibition of radio broadcasting Beatles records, because of John's declarations about religion. The decision was maintained for several years.

1967
UK LP re-release: 'The Beatles' First'.

1968
Carole Chapman starts working for Apple.

1969
Studio 2. 2.30-9.00pm. Recording: 'Because' (overdub onto take 16). Producer: George Martin; Engineer: Geoff Emerick/Phil McDonald; 2nd Engineer: John Kurlander. Studio 3. 7.15-8.45pm. Stereo mixing: 'Something' (unnumbered rough remix, from take 39); 'Here Comes The Sun' (unnumbered rough remix, from take 15). Producer: George Harrison; Engineer: Phil McDonald; 2nd Engineer: Alan Parsons.
2nd and 3rd set of 3-part vocal recordings for 'Because'. Remix of 'Something' for Martin, for scoring purposes.

1980
John and Yoko return to New York after vacations.

1982
Santa Barbara Sound studio, Santa Barbara, USA. Mixing for LP 'Old Wave'. Producer: Jim Nipar, assisted by Terry Nelson. Ringo and Joe Walsh are in attendance.

1983
Studio 2. Show 'The Beatles At Abbey Road' (3 times).
