The Beatles return from Hamburg to Liverpool.

Studio 2. 2.30-5.30pm. Recording: 'Any Time At All' (takes 1-7); 'Things We Said Today' (takes 1-3). Studio 2. 7.00-10.00pm. Recording: 'When I Get Home' (takes 1-11); 'Any Time At All' (takes 8-11). Producer: George Martin; Engineer: Norman Smith; 2nd Engineer: Ken Scott.

Production of the film 'Ferry Cross The Mersey' begins.

1965
'Ticket To Ride', 8th week in the Top 30 (UK New Musical Express chart).

World premiere of 'The Knack', directed by Richard Lester, at the London Pavilion. Brian and George attend.

1966
Studio 2. 7.00pm-3.30am. Recording: 'Laxton's Superb' (working title of 'I Don't Know', working titles of 'I Want To Tell You') (takes 1-5, overdub onto take 3, tape reduction take 3 into take 4). Mono mixing: 'Yellow Submarine' (remix 1, from take 5). Producer: George Martin; Engineer: Geoff Emerick; 2nd Engineer: Phil McDonald.

US magazine 'Disc' publishes on front page the photograph originally intended for ''Yesterday'... And Today'.

1967
US LP release: 'Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band'.

De Lane Lea Music Recording Studios. 8.30pm-2.00am. Recording: 'It's All Too Much' (overdub onto take 2); 'Untitled' (no numbered takes). Producer: George Martin; Engineer: Dave Siddle; 2nd Engineer: Mike Weighell.
Recording of brasses and woodwinds for 'It's All Too Much', and of an instrumental jamming.

1970
Abbey Road. Start of recordings of 'Isn't It A Pity'.

UK LP release: 'Young Americans', of David Bowie.
