Recording for BBC's 'Pop Go The Beatles' (8th edition): 'Pop Goes The Beatles'; 'I'm Gonna Sit Right Down And Cry (Over You)'; 'Crying, Waiting, Hoping'; 'Kansas City/Hey-Hey-Hey-Hey!'; 'To Know Her Is To love Her'; 'The Honeymoon Song'; 'Twist And Shout'; 'Pop Goes The Beatles'. The only BBC recording of all these songs, except 'Kansas City/Hey-Hey-Hey-Hey!' and 'Twist And Shout'.

Recording for BBC's 'Pop Go The Beatles' (10th edition): 'Pop Goes The Beatles'; 'She Loves You'; 'Words Of Love'; 'Glad All Over'; 'I Just Don't Understand'; 'Devil In Her Heart'; 'Slow Down'; 'Pop Goes The Beatles'.
'She Loves You' is the same version recorded earlier today (6.00-8.30pm session). Only take of 'I Just Don't Understand', and only BBC take of 'Slow Down'.
5.00-5.29pm. BBC's 'Pop Goes The Beatles' broadcast (2 July 1963 session, except '3 Cool Cats', 'Sweet Little Sixteen' and 'Ask Me Why').

10.00-11.55pm. BBC's 'Top Gear' broadcast (session recorded 14 July 1964).

1965
The plan by Brian Matthew and Brian Epstein to build a new theatre in Kent, the Pilgrim Theatre, comes to an end when the Estates Committee of Bromley Borough Council refuses to give planning permission.
1966

1968
Studio 2. 4.00-9.00pm. Recording: 'Cry Baby Cry' (takes 1-10, tape reduction take 10 into takes 11, 12). 10.00pm-2.00am. Recording: 'Cry Baby Cry' (overdub onto take 12). Producer: George Martin; Engineer: Geoff Emerick; 2nd Engineer: Richard Lush. Last day of Geoff Emerick's work as Beatles engineer. He will not be back until the 'Abbey Road' sessions.
1969
Studio 3. 2.30-7.00pm. Recording: 'Here Comes The Sun' (overdub onto take 15)..
Studio 2. 7.00pm-12.30am. Recording: 'Something' (overdub onto take 36, tape reduction into takes 38, 39). Producer: George Martin; Engineer: Phil McDonald; 2nd Engineer: Alan Parsons.
US gold certification for 'The Ballad Of John And Yoko'.
